Our Story

Our Campus

Ecole Bilingue de Berkeley is located in the heart of South-West Berkeley, a vibrant historic residential neighborhood where landmark companies coexist with dynamic new start-ups. The school is located across from the Berkeley Bowl West grocery store, and about half a mile away from the I-80 Ashby exit.

We recognize that Ecole Bilingue sits on ancestral and unceded Muwekma Ohlone territory. We would like to acknowledge the Muwekma Ohlone community, their elders both past and present, as well as future generations. Ecole Bilingue also acknowledges that we continue to benefit from this occupied land. This land continues to be of great importance to the Muwekma Ohlone Tribe. We recognize that the Ohlone People are vital members of the Berkeley community.

  • Athletic practice in nearby San Pablo Park, Grove Park, and Aquatic Park.
  • EB alumni businesses like Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant, Acme Bread Company (who provides baguettes baked next door for our preschoolers snacks), and Paper Pus!
  • A bustling biking community — and a feeling of safety and discovery in the pedestrian-safe streets!
