Enrichment & Aftercare

Enrichment at EB takes place outside of the classroom and is an integral part of a student’s full school day. In addition to providing supportive and engaging play-based recess, the Enrichment team provides care before school starts and after classes are released, and offers multiple options for activities and clubs after school. In the preschool, Enrichment staff is incorporated into the classroom and is part of the daily lunch routine.

SUMMER CAMP

Le Camp d'Été Summer Camp is an extension program of Ecole Bilingue de Berkeley, providing a unique Preschool to 6th-grade camp program for both EB students and non-students alike.

Our French Immersion Junior and Mini Camps offer a blend of play-based learning and specialized activities designed to inspire and engage. Meanwhile,  "The Art Lab", is a week-long maker camp (English Only), for rising G3 to G6 students.

Previous exposure to French language is not required. We offer a valuable experience for all children!

Enrollment for Summer 2024 is currently open and sessions are filling quickly, but there is still time to reserve your child's spot! Find details on tuition, dates and class descriptions at the link below!

Clubs & Afterschool

EB offers a wide range of after-school enrichment classes for students from preschool to middle school. Class offerings vary by semester and include sports, science, visual arts, music, cooking and language classes. Some after-school activities are conducted in French. These classes are offered on a trimester-basis at an additional cost which varies depending on the activity.

Before & After Care

Our Extended Day program operates between 7:30–8:15 a.m. and 3:30–6:00 p.m. for lower school children, and between 7:30-8:05 a.m. and 3:30–6:00 p.m. for middle school children.

We offer several flexible options for Morning and Afternoon Care including an hourly, drop-in rate or packages that are cost-saving for families (see chart below).

Morning Care is supervised by teacher’s assistants and is separated by grades. Children participate in games, art or free play. When school begins, the students are taken to their instructor. Children are signed into aftercare at 3:30 pm. We provide them with a yummy organic snack and then dismiss them to Etude, Enrichment classes or free play.

Drop-in rate $12/hour (Tuition Assistance does not apply)
Extended Day Package $1,470/year (unlimited morning and afternoon care; Tuition Assistance does not apply)
School Breaks Package $975/year (unlimited day camps during school breaks October, February, April - does not include summer)

We use the Curracubby system to sign your child/ren out of aftercare and to sign-up for classes and camps.

Etude

Étude (French for Study Hall) is offered to Elementary School students three days a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 4:00 to 5:00pm. Students are separated by grade and do their homework in a quiet atmosphere. Teachers are available to assist with some explanations.

Students in grades five through eight automatically go to Etude; students in grades one through four must sign up at the beginning of the semester. Deadline to sign-up this Fall: September 9.

Étude is billed at the same rate as Extended Day care ($11.44 an hour) and is included in the Extended Day Care package. For any questions about étude, please contact Elodie Resurreccion at eresurreccion@eb.org
