Applying

We are accepting applications for the 2022-2023 school year!

 After filling out an inquiry form, the admissions department will send you instructions to log into a Parent Portal account and access the application form for 2022-2023 school year. A non-refundable application fee of $80 will be due when submitting your application.  Please note that applications are done online.

  • Step 1: Inquiry form

    Families interested in applying to Ecole Bilingue de Berkeley need to fill out a form allowing the school to learn more about the needs and profiles of their child.

  • Step 2: Schedule a visit

    Discovering our campus and meeting our Admissions Director will be an important step for your family to know more about our program.

    Due to COVID-19, most of our admissions events will be hosted virtually for the time being. We hope to be able to welcome our prospective families on campus very soon! Please contact Director of Admissions, Manon Johnson, mjohnson@eb.org.
  • Step 3: Apply online

    Once your inquiry form is submitted, The Admissions' Office will contact you within two business days to let you know about a few important steps to complete your application process.

    • You will receive a log in to access our password-protected application form in our Parent Portal.
    • Families applying for financial aid can start the process shortly after submitting the application form.
    • There is a non-refundable application fee of $80 due when submitting your application form.

    Please note that depending on the age of your child, the admissions process will be different.

  • If you are applying for a preschooler (2, 3 or 4 years old):

    In order to complete the application process, you will need to:
    • Upload a photo of your child
    • Upload a family photo
    • Schedule your family interview*
    *Some of our admissions steps traditionally take place on campus, but are virtually scheduled for now. Once we're able to return on campus, we'll keep you posted about any changes in our admission process. Thank you for your understanding.
  • If you are applying for TK or Kindergarten:

    In order to complete the application process, you will need to:
    • Upload a photo of your child
    • Upload a family photo
    • Schedule your family interview*
    • Fill out the BADA form and return it to the Admission Office
    • Organize a time for your child to participate in a group observation session* in February. 
    *Some of our admissions steps traditionally take place on campus, but are virtually scheduled for now. Once we're able to return on campus, we'll keep you posted about any changes in our admission process. Thank you for your understanding.
  • If you are applying for Grade 6 International Track:

    In order to complete the application process, you will need to:
    • Upload a photo of your child
    • Upload a family photo
    • Schedule your family interview*
    • Schedule your child's 1/2 day visit* with Middle School Head, Mr. Richard Lyon
    • Fill out the BADA form and return it to the Admission Office
    • Request transcripts from your previous school for 2020/21 school year and first semester of 2021/2022 school year

  • If you are applying for Grade 1 to Grade 8 (Bilingual track):

    In order to complete the application process, you will need to:
    • Upload a photo of your child
    • Upload a family photo
    • Schedule your child’s assessment* with the academic team 
    • Fill out the BADA form and return it to the Admission Office
    • Request transcripts from your previous school for 2020/21 school year and first semester of 2021/2022 school year

Acceptance and Enrollment

Acceptance notifications will be sent to parents by email on Thursday March 10, 2022 (Preschool) and on Thursday March 17, 2022 (Kindergarten - Grade 8).

To finalize enrollment, once accepted at Ecole Bilingue de Berkeley, families must return their electronically signed enrollment agreements along with a 10% deposit of the annual tuition; before Thursday, March 24th at 10 a.m.
