Ecole Bilingue de Berkeley is a preschool-8th grade bilingual immersion school where students learn in French and English. Every day our students learn to speak, write, and think in two languages, becoming open-minded, adaptable learners who discover their best selves while respecting the differences of others.

ACCELERATED FRENCH PROGRAM
Ecole Bilingue de Berkeley’s Accelerated French Program (AFP) provides late entry points at G1, G2 and G6 for students who have no prior French language exposure. AFP students have the opportunity to acquire fluency in a second language, making them strong candidates for High School placement after 8th grade.

G6 & G8 Lab Visit: Polar Pod Expedition
Middle school students had a unique opportunity to learn about the remarkable Polar POD expedition, led by renowned explorer Jean-Louis Étienne, who visited campus with his team while their vessel was docked in San Francisco. The Polar POD studies the Southern Ocean to deepen our understanding of climate change and biodiversity, providing an engaging real-world connection to science. -
Día de los Muertos, Day of the Dead
"Día de los Muertos," also known as the "Day of the Dead," is a Mexican holiday celebrated on November 1st and 2nd each year. It is a vibrant and colorful celebration that honors deceased loved ones and is a fusion of indigenous Aztec beliefs and Catholicism. The holiday is most closely associated with Mexico but is also observed in other Latin American countries and by Mexican communities around the world.
