Ecole Bilingue de Berkeley is a preschool-8th grade bilingual immersion school where students learn in French and English.

Every day our students learn to speak, write, and think in two languages, becoming open-minded, adaptable learners who discover their best selves while respecting the differences of others.

Accelerated French Program

Ecole Bilingue de Berkeley’s Accelerated French Program (AFP) provides students who have no prior French language exposure the opportunity to acquire fluency in a second language, making them strong candidates for High School placement after 8th grade. Learn more

Experiential Learning

When students learn about a place by immersing themselves within it, they become more than simply bystanders; they are bilingual participants in the world, locally and globally, and know they belong anywhere.

    Eco-Elders Swap Meet

    It's time to get ready for EB's Spring Swap Meet, brought to you by the Eco-Elders!  

     
    It will be held on Tuesday, April 25 from 3:15-5:30pm in the LS Multipurpose Room.
     

    Here's how it works:
    • Take a moment over the next few weeks to go through your closets to find what you're ready to say good bye to and send off to a new home!  
    • Bring those treasures - remember all clean, in working condition and gently used - along to the meet.  We'll help organize and lay them out.
    • Join in the fun of exploring all the offerings and finding new treasures to take home!  It's all free and you don't even need to bring anything to participate.

    What you can bring:
    • Clothes (adults and children)
    • EB Spirit-wear
    • Sporting clothes and goods
    • Toys and puzzles
    • Small household and kitchen items

    Please remember:
    • Everything should be clean, in working condition and only gently used.  
    • Please limit to approximately two shopping bags worth. 
    • You may drop things off beforehand at the Lower School Multipurpose Room starting from Wednesday morning, April 24.

    Remember, you don't need to bring anything to participate so pop by regardless to check it out when you're picking up your child!
     
    Note: All items remaining after the meet will be donated to Goodwill or similar.

    Bring Your Garden to Life with California Native Plants with Jennifer Dirking

    Hey EB community, what’s in your garden? Do the birds and bees visiting your garden have everything they need to raise the next generation? The Eco-Elders cordially invite you to a fascinating conversation with Jennifer Dirking, a local expert in gardening with California native plants, to learn how you can: 

    • Attract more bees, butterflies, birds and other wildlife to your garden

    • Help save local species that are in decline

    • Enjoy a lush, low water landscape
    • Get your kids involved in the fun

    All parents, staff, and students G3 and above (with an adult) are welcome to attend. Refreshments and child care will be provided. Please RSVP in advance if you will need child care during the event.
