Extended Day Programs
Our Extended Day program operates between 7:30–8:15 a.m. and 3:30–6:00 p.m. It provides supervision for children during recesses. In the afternoons, a healthy, organic snack is served and a variety of activities are organized: outdoor play, board games, and arts and crafts.
For children in Toute Petite Section, Petite Section and Moyenne Section, Extended Day care is held in the Preschool building and yard, and offers free play as well as stories, games, and creative activities.
We offer several flexible options including an hourly rate or packages that are cost-saving for families. Go to the Tuition Page to view the various options available and costs associated.
Vacation camps operate during Fall, Winter and Spring breaks and are open to EB students only. In addition to crafts, games, and playtime, these camps always include a field trip to a point of local interest. Recent trips have included a pumpkin patch, the Marine Mammal Center, and the California Academy of Sciences. Vacation camps are typically staffed by EB’s Extended Day team. A summer camp is also offered to EB and non-EB students.
EB offers a wide range of after-school enrichment classes. Class offerings vary by semester and include sports, science, visual arts, music, cooking and more.
Étude (French for Study Hall) is offered to Elementary School students four days a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 to 5:00pm. Students are separated by grade and do their homework in a quiet atmosphere. Teachers are available to assist with some explanations.
Students in grades five through eight automatically go to Etude; students in grades one through four must sign up at the beginning of the semester. Etude is billed at the same rate as Extended Day care ($9.30/hour). To learn more about this program, please contact Lower School Head Thierry Durandard at firstname.lastname@example.org
