Program

Toute Petite Section

Songs and Instruments with Peta Robles: EB is thrilled to have Peta, a local Peruvian musician bringing our little ones some musical fun, exploring songs and dance as well as various interesting instruments each day!

Petite and Moyenne Sections

Super Soccer Stars: one hour of outdoor soccer fun that includes warm-ups and stretching, skill building and skill development activities, scrimmages and small sided games, and the big game where the kids get to play both each other, and then challenge their coaches!

Kindergarten

Lego

Ratchet up your imagination with tens of thousands of LEGO® parts! Build engineer-designed projects such as: Fire Trucks, Space Stations, Tugboats, and the Eiffel Tower. Design and build as never before, and explore your craziest ideas in a supportive environment.

Yoga

Our last session with yoga master teacher Papa Dah! Children will learn yoga in a fun yet disciplined way, and I’m sure will be able to show you some moves! Students will learn about the healing energy of long, slow stretching, and deep, slow breathing (Hatha Yoga) for enhanced physical strength, mental focus, and deep relaxation, with emphasis on the calming effects of meditation. Through this process, kids learn to have deep respect for one another and for their environment, including all life on earth.

Grades 1 to 5

Cooking

We’ll be joined by French dietitian Cécile Cottus who will share her love of cooking with the students. They will prepare various delicious dishes together including both savory and sweet. French recipes will definitely be part of the menu!

Judo

Hajime! (Begin!) establishes a strong base of judo technique, culture, and character. We’ll have warm up with tumbling, jumping and running activities before practicing our ukemi or falling techniques. We will learn to hold a person down with “kesa-gatame” (scarf hold) and we will practice throws where our opponent can be flipped upside down (on Sensei only). Every class finishes with games that develop physical coordination, balance and laughter. We sing in Japanese and bow to each other respectfully. Then we say “arigotoh” (thank you). Respect and discipline are as much a part of Hanabi as smiling.

Trips, Performances, and Special Days

TPS, PS, MS: Wednesday April 17 and Monday, April 22

We will have balloon animals (TPS) and face painting (PS/MS)! On Monday April 22 we will be visited by the bubble lady, who does extraordinary things with bubbles. She is incredible!

K-5: Wednesday April 17 and Monday, April 22

Field Trip to Albany Bowl to go bowling! We’ll enjoy some fun on the lanes together. Pack a hearty lunch and please arrive by 9:00am. We will be taking an AC Transit public bus on San Pablo Ave for this trip. Departure at 9:45am sharp and return at approx. 1:30 pm.
