Middle School Adventure Camp during Fall Break

EB’s first ever Middle School Adventure Camp will take place October 21 to 23 during fall break. Students will enjoy great outdoor activities around the Bay such as sailing out of the Berkeley Marina, horseback riding in Marin, and whale watching out in the ocean.


Monday, October 21- SAILING ON THE BAY

A fun day of sailing at the UC Aquatic Center is sure to provide a day of excitement. Students will spend the day learning the basics of sailing and enjoy the waters of the beautiful bay. The Berkeley Marina location provides a safe atmosphere for those learning. Cal Adventures offer groups the opportunity to challenge themselves individually and as a group.

Drop Off Location: UC Aquatic Center in the Berkeley Marina
Return: Approx. 3:00pm
Transportation: Morning parent drop off, then we will return using car service
3:00pm - 6:00pm (Optional) - Counselor in Training at Lower School Camp


We’ll drive to Five Brooks Ranch in Olema. Students will do a 2 hour trail ride through beautiful Marin coastal forest. Their guided trail rides are a wonderful way to explore and enjoy the splendor of the Point Reyes National Seashore. Trail rides are subject to weather and trail conditions. For safety reasons, all rides are tailored to accommodate the lowest riding ability level in any grouping of riders.

Wednesday, October 23 - WHALE WATCHING

We’ll head out with San Francisco Whale Tours on their Golden Gate tour to see humpback and grey whales, along with harbor seals, dolphins, porpoises and abundant sea bird colonies. THis tour takes us under the Golden Gate Bridge, about 30 minutes off the coast. If we are lucky we will see some incredible wildlife. After a couple of hours on the sea, we’ll return to have lunch at the SF Embarcadero.

Return: Approx. 3:30pm

Counselor In Training Program

We are thrilled to launch our official school vacation camp CIT program for our middle school students. We have had great experiences running this program during our summer camps over the past two years and are excited to expand. 

As a counselor in training, your child will have the opportunity to develop leadership skills, contribute to their school community, and learn the responsibilities of being a camp staff member. Each day they will assist Enrichment Supervisors with activities, snack and supervision, as well as engage in play and games with our preschool to 5th grade students.

Daily Schedule

  • 8:00am - 9:00am - Morning Drop Off - (Trip departure times may vary)
  • 9:00am to 3:00pm - Daily Field Trip
  • 3:00pm to 6:00 pm - Optional - Counselor in Training Program at the LS

Registration Info

  • Registration is done online, families can register for all three days or select specific days.
  • Cost for all three days is $500 and varies between $150 and $180 per day depending on the day.
  • Financial Aid does not apply.
  • Deadline to register is Friday, October 4
  • Absolutely no late enrollment
  • Registration is non-refundable.

You will receive a welcome email the week before camp starts with more details about the daily routine, what to bring, and what to expect!


The adventure camp will be staffed by 1 to 2 supervisors, depending on enrollment. Middle School Enrichment Supervisor, Domonique Veasley with an additional Supervisor. Thie CIT program will be staffed by Lower School Enrichment Supervisors.
