Giving

Why Give?

EB was founded by a small group of dedicated parents, who realized from the beginning that giving back was the best way to ensure their children got the most out of an EB education.

This tradition has continued to grow as the school has grown, and parents are a vital link in that chain.

Laura Guevara, G7 Parent & Anglophone VP of Parents’ Association (2019-2020)

We give to the Annual Fund because at EB our children are learning more than the academic essentials. They are also learning to be global citizens, responsible caretakers of our planet and using their social-emotional skills to make meaningful change, on the playground and in their communities.

Why Giving is Important at EB

EB offers many opportunities to help the school in significant ways, including donating funds, organizing an event, joining a committee, volunteering in the classroom, sharing of talents, and otherwise giving one’s time.  When parents donate funds to EB, they are helping to:

  • Equip classrooms
  • Provide professional development for teachers and staff
  • Offer exciting out-of-the-classroom experiences
  • Provide tuition assistance to families who could not otherwise join EB’s diverse community
  • Ensure EB continues to thrive for future generations
Everyone is encouraged to give in whatever way they can. Whether it’s sponsoring a child in the Run-a-Thon, attending the World Celebrations picnic, cheering on the Jaguars at a flag football game, or opening doors for carpool, parents’ participation in the school creates a special environment for students and families alike.

When parents give, whether through time, talents, or funds, they contribute to what sets EB apart. In short, they help make EB the best that it can be for future generations of children.

"I am incredibly grateful to the school for the way it pivoted so quickly this spring to a very effective distance learning program. I'm also so proud of its ongoing efforts to navigate this very fluid environment and give our children the very best education in a way that keeps everyone as safe as possible. I encourage all parents to support us at whatever level they can - our primary goal is 100% participation and every gift counts!"
