Lunch Service
The school partners with hot lunch vendor Flo’s Friendly Foods, a local caterer that specializes in “allergy-conscious and nutrient-rich food” for children. It currently works with half a dozen East Bay independent schools and offers affordable meals, with prices ranging from $6.25 to $8 per meal. Its foods are served in reusable containers, minimizing waste and furthering our mission of sustainability.
Parents can customize their child’s meals using an intuitive online ordering platform. Each meal comes with a choice of side, including fresh fruit, nori, salad, house-made granola bars, and more. Menus repeat weekly, with different meal options each day. The entire menu changes monthly.

Étude
Étude (French for Study Hall) is offered to Elementary School students four days a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 to 5:00pm. Students are separated by grade and do their homework in a quiet atmosphere. Teachers are available to assist with some explanations.
Students in grades five through eight automatically go to Etude; students in grades one through four must sign up at the beginning of the semester. Deadline to sign-up this Fall: September 9.
Etude is billed at the same rate as Extended Day care ($9.80 an hour). For any questions about étude, please contact Sébastien Robert at srobert@eb.org
Clubs and Afterschool Activities
EB offers a wide range of after-school enrichment classes for students from preschool to middle school. Class offerings vary by semester and include sports, science, visual arts, music, cooking and language classes. Some afterschool activities are conducted in French. These classes are offered on a trimester-basis at an additional cost which varies depending on the activity.
At the Middle School, students can choose among about a dozen clubs offered on a rotation basis every trimester. Those clubs all take place on Friday afternoon, they are free and mandatory, and allow students to explore a specific interest or develop a skill set in a small group setting. Clubs are mostly led by teachers, though some are students-led and include yearbook, eco-gardening, mindfulness, or robotics.
