Summer Camps

We are pleased to announce the return of Le Camp D’Été for summer 2023! Our camps will once again be open to the public for rising G1 to G6 students while our mini-camp (preschool) will still be for incoming and current EB students (limitations apply). In addition to our super fun-filled French immersion camps we will also be offering Riveropolis Camp, a two week maker camp (English only), for rising G3 to G6 students.
Our French Immersion Junior camps consist of French in the morning (8:00am to 12:00pm), followed by exciting specialized afternoon activities such as sports, arts and crafts, gaming, music, science and more. Our minicamp consists of play based learning activities in French throughout the morning, followed by lunch, nap and quiet activities in the afternoon.

  • Le Camp D’Été’s Junior Camp (rising G1 to G6) is open to the public. No prior French necessary.
  • Le Camp D’Été’s Mini Camp (preschool and rising K) is only open to current and incoming EB families this year. Incoming students must be fully potty trained and over the age of 3.5. No prior French necessary.

  • Native French Speakers

All of our French instructors are native speakers and have extensive backgrounds in teaching and working with children at multiple age levels.
  • Mini Camp

We introduce and reinforce French acquisition through specialized French instruction periods during two periods in the morning. These activities will include basic language skills like learning greetings, colors, animal names, food names, simple social interactions, songs, reading, and arts and crafts. All learning revolves around the weekly themes. Our program also focuses on social-emotional learning and helps mini campers gain social skills through everyday interactions. Daily schedule mirrors that of daily school schedule.

  • COVID-19 Protocols

The safety of our families is our highest priority. The camp will run the same way as school has been operating this year, maintaining all COVID protocols and procedures, including daily COVID screenings, staff and student testing, and frequent cleaning. We will of course follow all up-to-date safety measures as guided by the Berkeley Dept. of Public Health.

Riveropolis Maker Camp

There’s nothing like the sight, sound and feel of cascading water to stimulate the imagination! In Riveropolis Maker Camp, kid’s explore art, architecture and engineering as they construct a fantastic model river world with real rain, waterfalls, lakes and islands. Along the banks of the river campers will learn arts and craft techniques as they build houses, towers, castles, gardens, and more. The resulting 35-foot river landscape becomes the centerpiece for a Grand Tour for parents and friends on the final day of camp!
