Tuition

Tuition for the school year 2007-2008:

PK through Fifth Grade: $16,155
Sixth through Eighth Grade: $18,692

Tuition covers accident insurance, textbooks, classroom and art supplies, cost of day field trips, snacks in Maternelle, ERB testing, one class picture, individual pictures, one yearbook and shows.

Tuition does not include fees for other activities, including but not limited to: lunch, Extended Day care, private lessons, treatment by a doctor, outdoor education or overnight trips.

Other fees:

-New students are assessed a one-time Facilities fee of $1,500 ($750 for financial aid recipients). The proceeds are used to improve current facilities to better the experience of the students, faculty, staff and community at large.

-In their first year at EB, new families who do not elect to pay tuition in full in July, will be enrolled in a Tuition Refund Insurance Plan at a cost of $318 for PK through Fifth Grade and $363 for Sixth through Eighth Grade.  For more information on this insurance plan please click here. Enrollment in this plan is optional for all other families.

-Middle School are assessed a yearly Laptop fee of $395 for sixth grade and $375 for Grades seven and eight. Parents will have a preferred option to buy their child’s laptop when leaving EB. Need-based financial aid is available.

Overnight field trips:

The cost of overnight trips is not included in the tuition.

  • 4th grade Social Studies trip (Gold Rush Camp) (mandatory): $275
  • 5th grade Language/Cultural trip (France) (optional) approximately $1,500
  • 6th grade Science trip (Catalina Island) (mandatory): $725
  • 7th grade Social Studies trip (Washington, D.C) (optional) approximately $1,500
  • 8th grade Language /Cultural trip (France) (optional) approximately $1,500

Financial aid recipients will receive financial aid for the trips.

Payment schedule:

A non-refundable deposit of 10% must accompany the enrollment agreement. The balance of tuition and mandatory fees is payable either in full on July 1, or in two installments due July 1 and October 1.

A monthly automatic payment plan is also available through FACTS Management Company and allows families to pay tuition in up to 12 installments from July to June. This service provides automatic deduction from a checking or savings account for tuition and mandatory fees. FACTS charges an annual fee of $41 and EB charges an interest of 5% (2.50% for financial aid recipients).  EB’s interest for a returning kindergarten student would be $397 for the year.  The necessary form is sent, by the Business Office, to parents who choose that option on their enrollment contract.

Optional charges:

Extended Day care is available on a prearranged or drop-in basis for a cost of $8.50/hour for 2007-2008.  Invoices are sent on a monthly basis and due upon receipt.

Vacation camps are held during Fall, Winter, Spring Recesses and summer break (but not during the December Holiday Recess). Cost for these camps is approximately $65.00 to $70.00 per day (the cost will be announced prior to the beginning of each camp in EB’s weekly note). Advance registration and payment are required.

The cost of all after-school classes will be announced prior to the beginning of each session in EB’s weekly note. Advance registration and payment are required.
