Frédéric Canadas, Head of school,
starts his sixth year at Ecole Bilingue. He holds
a Bachelor’s degree in science, as well
as a Master's degree in Education, and a DESS
in Bilingualism and Multimedia Resources for
Language. He has over twenty years of experience
in both bilingual and French education, including
seventeen years of practice in a multicultural and
multilingual environment, in six different countries.
He was previously the Head of the
French-Finnish School of Tampere, Finland.
Frédéric and his wife Odile have two children at Ecole
Bilingue : Nathan (5th grade) and Ociane (7th grade).

Roberte Rountree, Executive Assistant
to the Head of School, holds a baccalaureate degree
in secretarial-economics from France. Roberte settled
in the Bay Area in 1976 and two years later began
the first of her 29 years at Ecole Bilingue. Since
that time, she has gained an extensive experience
of EB; having worked with all Ecole Bilingue's
Heads and consequently becoming the school's institutional
memory. She is an active member of the Alumni Committee
and is in close contact with many alumni and alumni
parents. |

Rotha Ieng is originally from Cambodia. He received his Bachelor’s degree in multimedia from CSU East Bay. Prior to arriving in the States, he attended the Royal University of Fine Arts in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. He loves learning languages. He speaks Khmer, English, French and Thai, and is currently learning Japanese. He has been a Khmer language lecturer at Stanford University and is currently teaching at U.C. Berkeley. |
