Brigitte Bastrenta, Director of Admissions, holds a Bachelor’s degree in English and a Master’s Certificate from the Université Paul Valéry, Montpellier, France. She has taught English in France, and French in England and in the Bay Area in private schools. In 1996 she received her administrative training at the Institute for School Management in Wilmington, Delaware in Admission and in Development and continued her career in education as a school administrator.

Since 1998, she has served on CAIS and WASC accreditations committees and she has reviewed many private and public schools in California.

Education is a big part of her family background: nine of her close relatives work as teachers or heads of school in France.

Brigitte joined the EB administrative team in January 2005.

Her two children, Laurie and Julian Walter, are EB alumni.
